What's This? Justice Clarence Thomas's Wife Launches A 'Tea Party' Group

Look out folks. I am sure the radical, left wing media will be all over this news story. Imagine the wife of a sitting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court starting a "radical" activist group associated with the 'Tea Party' movement. Scandalous!! I can imagine Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann MSNBC getting out their tar and feathers now.

Despite all the political risks to her husband, Virginia Thomas is very passionate about the principles behind the 'Tea Party' movement. In January, Virginia founded Liberty Central Inc., a nonprofit lobbying group dedicated to preserving our country's freedom and reaffirm core founding principles.
"I am an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb., who just may have the chance to preserve liberty along with you and other people like you," she said at a recent panel discussion with tea party leaders in Washington. Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama's "hard-left agenda."

But Thomas is no ordinary activist.

She is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and she has launched a tea-party-linked group that could test the traditional notions of political impartiality for the court. Click Here To Read More
I personally don't see anything wrong with Virginia Thomas supporting the 'Tea Party' movement or creating her own political activist organization. She is an American citizen just like anyone else. She has a right to criticize the Obama Administration's policies despite being the wife of a sitting Supreme Court Justice.

This story also gives some credibility to the 'Tea Party' movement in general. The liberal media can no longer say that the movement to rediscover the core principles that founded this great country is only made up of a bunch of poor, white rednecks and right wing radicals! I give Virginia a lot of credit and would encourage any of my readers to check out LibertyCentral.Org and contribute to her cause.
