It's Official. PA Democrats Endorse Specter

Perhaps it was fitting this weekend that Democratic State Committee members had to risk life and limb in a blizzard to get the chance to endorse everyone's favorite Senator, Arlen Specter. I know it is hard to believe, but we now can say that Specter has come full circle in his political career. From the days he was a registered democrat in Philadelphia to all those years he fooled Pennsylvania republicans, today's endorsement was simply too much joy for Specter. The guy couldn't control himself.

Mr. Specter listened to the roll call of the Democratic State Committee in the first row of the Philadelphia delegation. "Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" a jubilant Specter told the committee after receiving 229 votes—28 more than the requisite two-thirds majority. Just imagine the foul aroma that permeated through the room as the votes were cast for Specter. Just picture the democratic party faithfull holding their noses and gagging themselves just to please the party power players. Yuck!!!!! Many of them probably headed to the showers after the vote. The endorsement of Specter shows us just how desperate the democrats are to hold on to their power in Washington D.C.

Let us now officially put the final nail in the "Change We Can Believe In" campaign slogan that was so popular for democrats and the Obama campaign. Any party that endorses a consummate Washington D.C. insider like Specter as their candidate is no longer the party of change.

I hope democratic party voters in Pennsylvania have more sense than their party leaders. It is time for Specter to go!!!
